Craps Guidelines and Schemes
CrapsCraps appears like a hard to learn game, and it certainly can be, but you do not need to know all of the rules to play it well and get a honest return. If you stick with the common wagers with a low house edge and do not wager when you aren't assured what it is you are betting on and its odds.
By betting on the pass line and buying odds you can wager with approximately no house edge. This just about makes the phrase 'betting' false if you really think about it.
Pass Line
The contest begins by placing a wager on either Pass or Do not Pass prior to the Come Out toss. If a 7 or 11 is rolled first you win and 2, 3, or twelve means you loss if you wager on pass. The reverse is valid if you place a bet on Don't Pass. With the exception of twelve is a tie if you wager Don't Pass. Just about everyone lay money on Pass, so if you pick Don't Pass, don't attract attention to yourself, particularly if you win. If you actually win then everybody else just lost, and aren't going to take kindly to showing off. Should any number besides two, three, seven, eleven or twelve be tossed first, that number is the point. Do not wager on the Pass line following the Come Out toss, it's legal, but the odds are against you.
Purchasing the Odds
In order to take advantage of the wager with almost no casino advantage, you have to initially bet on the Pass Line. Next you will be able to bet a multiple (depending on the betting house) of your Pass bet that the point will be rolled prior to a seven. Depending on the number of the point, you can come away with up to two to one.
Wagering along these general lines will provide you with honest possibility of becoming a success. Add the thrills that the craps always appears to deliver and the only way to lose is not to play.
